Eloi Daigle

(1930-2009)

 

The death of Eloi Joseph Daigle, loving husband of Alice (Hebert) Daigle occurred unexpectedly on Saturday August 8, 2009 in Sussex, NB. Born 1930 in Acadieville, NB he was the son of the late Jaddus and Eugenie (LeBlanc) Daigle.

 

Eloi worked as a Machine Tender for Irving Pulp and Paper for 32 years, retiring in 1992. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family especially at the camp. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

 

Besides his loving wife Alice of 55 years, he is survived by his children, Donald (Mary-Anne), Norman (Cynthia), Diane Clarke (Tom Clarke) (Roger Chamberlain) and Raymond (Nancy) all of Saint John; grandchildren, Shannon Daigle, Jillian Daigle (Azam), Randall Daigle, Angela Daigle, Michael Daigle, Rose Robinson (Scott), Andrea Clarke (Colby), Corey Zimmerman (Edward), Becky Daigle and Andrew Daigle, great grandchild Victoria Robinson; brothers Lazare Daigle (Jeanette) of Moncton and Yvan Daigle (Irene) of Tracadie; sister, Marie Thebeau of Rogersville; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Cecile Richard and Leah Gallant.

 

Following cremation, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joachim's Church on Tuesday August 11, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
