Marie-Jeanne Deveau, 92, wife of the late Alcime
Deveau passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Villa du
Repos, Moncton. Born November 12, 1915 in Acadieville, she was
the daughter of the late Pacifique and Ursule (Richard) Daigle.
She is survived by six daughters; Julienne
Deveau, Dorca King (Dave), Thérèse Cormier (Normand) and
Carmella LeBlanc (Norman), Alice Bastarache (Ovide) all of
Moncton, and Dionne Allain (Serge Daigle) of Riverview; seven
sons, Néri (Nélida), Rosaire (Lucie), Hector, Clermont (Patsy),
Gérard (Joanne) and Livain all of Moncton, and Yvon (Sylvia) of
Notre-Dame; thirty grandchildren, thirty five great
grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and by many nieces
and nephews. Besides her husband Alcime (1997), she is also
predeceased by two infant children: Bernice and Joseph, two
sisters: Florida and Thérèse and five brothers: Gérard, Émile,
Amable, William and Yvon Daigle.
Visitation at La Maison funéraire Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church St., Moncton (858-1900) on Monday,
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, from 10 a.m.
until time of departure 10:45 a.m. Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at
Notre-Dame-de-Grace Roman Catholic Church, Parkton. Interment
will be in Acadieville, N.B. In lieu of flowers, donations to
the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or to the New
Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated.
