PLACIDE OUELLETTE
(1910 - 2004)
The death of
Placide J. Ouellette, husband of Mary Richard (LeBlanc) Ouellette and the late
Matilda (LeBlanc) Ouellette, occurred on August 3, 2004, at the Saint John
Regional Hospital. Born
15 July 1910
in Acadieville, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph
and Anatasie (Vautour) Ouellette.
He moved to Saint John and worked Port of
Saint John for 16 years before establishing P. Ouellette General Contractors in
Dartmouth, Sydney and Saint John. He is survived by his sons Ronald and his wife
Margo, Leo and his wife Margaret, Robert and his wife Ruth, his daughters Tilda
Richard and Lilly Ouellette, all of Saint John, his sisters Rita Bourque of
Roserville, NB, Elodie Arsenault of Los Angeles, California, his twenty-four
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his
step-daughters Muriel Langlais and her husband Emile, Deanna Chaison, Alma
Doiron and her husband Johnny, Shirley Musson and her husband Anthony, step-sons
Paul LeBlanc, Richard Leblanc, Emery LeBlanc, and twenty-four step
grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons Norman and Yvon, his brothers
Eddie, Alphie and Gerard and his sisters Ida, Ena, Ozalie and Florance.
Resting
at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road
(634-7425), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 6, 2004, at 10:00 AM, from St. Rose
of Lima Church. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Remembrances
made to the charity of choice would be appreciated
