Jean Roach
(1926-2008)
Jean Roach Jean Roach, 82, of Dieppe, NB, passed
away suddenly on Monday, November 17th, 2008. Born in
Atholville, NB, he was the son of the late Ernest Roach and the
late Ida (née: Ouellette) Roach- Gallant.
Mr. Roach was retired from the Canadian National
Railway. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorraine (née:
Lavoie); one daughter, Thelma (Rodrigue) Babineau of Moncton;
one son, Bobby (Charline) Roach of Hinton, AB; one sister,
Léona (late Gerry) Harrigan of Dieppe; three brothers: Arnel (Irène)
Roach of Miramichi, Joe (Diane) Roach of Ottawa and Léo (Doris)
Roach of Moncton; three half-brothers: Ernest (Shirley) Gallant
of Miramichi, Ronald (Bernice) Gallant of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu,
QC and Paul Gallant of Fredericton; one sister-in-law, Lylla of
Dieppe; 5 grandchildren: Leesa (John), Nicole (Serge), Suzanne
(Christian), Eric and Luc; four great grandchildren: Candace,
Ryan, Sophie and Alexa, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Ernest in
2001 and also by one brother, Eddy.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville
Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB 857-1901, on
Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm. and from 7 to 9 pm; and on Thursday
from 12: 30 pm. until time of departure. Funeral mass will be
celebrated from Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Thursday,
November 20th, 2008 at 1: 30 pm. Interment in
St-Francois-de-Sales Parish Cemetery, Rogersville, NB. Due to
allergies, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian
Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
