Arthur Vautour

(1919-2007)

 

 

The death of Arthur J. Vautour, husband of Eileen C. (Bradbin) Vautour occurred on October 23, 2007 at his residence in Quispamsis.

 

Born in Acadieville, Kent Co. on February 19, 1919, he was the son of the late Anseleme and Abbie (Johnston) Vautour. He was a loving and devoted husband of 63 years, a wonderful father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to all. He spent many years working with a moving company in MA., worked at Maritime Movers, as well as on the waterfront with CPR truckers, and many other jobs before his retirement. He enjoyed talking about his younger years in the woods with his siblings, hunting, gardening and spending lots of time talking and laughing with family and friends around the kitchen table. He truly was a great man and will be missed by all.

 

Arthur is survived by his six sons, George (Mary) Vautour of Waltham MA, and Randall (Kathy) Vautour of Chelmsford, MA., and Leo (Wally) Vautour of Grand Bay - Westfield, N.B., and Gary (Shirley) Vautour, Stewart (Lisa) Vautour, and Arthur (Trudy) Vautour, all of Saint John. Saint John West; five daughters, Roseann Cormier of Shediac, N.B., Wanda (Joseph) Bourgeois of Hampton, N.B., Carolyn (Paul) Vautour, Catherine Vautour, and Patricia Vautour all of Saint John, N.B. Surviving in addition to his children are ten sisters and five brothers, nineteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Leo and Dollard Vautour; one son-in-law, Delphius Cormier; and one grandson, Norman Cormier.

 

Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose de Lima Church on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting at Castle "Fallsview" on Thursday Oct. 25th from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday Oct. 26th from 2 to 4, 7 to 9 p.m. Following the interment, a reception will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
