Allison Doiron
(1920-2007)
With his wife
by his side, passed away peacefully, at the age of 87, Allison
J. Doiron, at the Villa de Providence in Shediac, on Sunday,
January 28, 2007. Born in Acadieville, he was the son of the
late Joseph and Marie (Caissie) Doiron.
He is survived by his
wife, Beatrice (Caissie); as well as three sons, Zowell-Al
(Joanne) from Delaware, Ernest -Rosimond (Susan) from Memramcook,
and Vincent (Noella) from Bouctouche; one daughter, Julia from
Delaware; one granddaughter, Carol from St-Lois, who they raised
as their own daughter; three sisters, Virginie from Acadieville,
Alice from Moncton and Rita from Saint John, as well as 12
grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Rosimond, Joseph
and Eddy, as well as one sister, Anna.
He served with the North
Shore Regiment overseas during World War II and was a member of
the Rogersville Legion Branch no. 38. He worked with his father
who was a sawyer before joining the Canadian Army. After, he
worked as a carpenter in Massachusetts. Upon retirement, he and
his wife returned to Acadieville where he enjoyed hunting,
working in the woods, and riding his 4-wheeler.
The family will
receive relatives and friends at Le Salon La Colombe, 11325
route 126, Rogersville, from Wednesday, January 31st, 2007. The
Funeral Service will be held at the Immaculée-Conception Roman
Catholic Church in Acadieville, Thursday, February 1st, at 11
a.m. Visiting hours, Wednesday, January 31st, from 2 pm to 4pm
and from 7 pm to 9pm, and Thursday, February 1st, from 9 am to
the departure for the funeral.
